YNAB – You Need a Budget

YNAB stands for You Need a Budget.

It’s a budget tool that’ll help you save money and get out of debt. You’ll no longer be living paycheck-to-paycheck.

Although you need to pay for the subscription, many users have claimed to save more than the cost.

Cost: $11.99 per month for the monthly plan or $84 per year for the annual plan. YNAB offers a 34-day free trial.

EveryDollar

EveryDollar is Dave Ramsey’s budgeting and goal tracking tool. It’s straightforward and simple to use.

If you’re willing to pay for a budgeting app and would like to use one that’s to-the-point, EveryDollar is the one to choose.

Cost: Free to download, and $99 per year to upgrade to EveryDollar Plus.

PocketGuard

PocketGuard takes a simple approach to your finances to prevent you from overspending.

It’ll show you how much disposable income you have after paying your bills, saving, and setting aside money for essentials.

Cost: Free. PocketGuard Plus is the paid version, which costs $3.99 per month for the monthly plan, or $34.99 per year for the annual plan.

Goodbudget

Goodbudget is the perfect app for the envelope method.

With Goodbudget, you allocate an amount to different spending or saving categories, which will help you track your spending and stay on top of your finances.

Cost: Free. You can upgrade to Plus to get unlimited envelopes for $7 per month or $60 annually.

Acorns

Acorns helps you save and invest money without thinking about it through its automation tool.

For every purchase you make, it rounds up your purchases to the nearest dollar and invests the difference.

Due to the small amounts, it’s considered too small for serious investors, but it’s a great place to start.

Cost: Three monthly plans, $1 per month for Lite, $3 per month for Personal, $5 per month for Family.

Personal Capital

Personal Capital is free and user-friendly. It creates summaries of your spending, tracks your net worth and investment portfolio.

They have plenty of free tools, and if you’d like to access a financial advisor, you’ll need a minimum balance of $100,000, and the management fee is 0.89%.

All you need to do is connect your 401k, IRA, or other retirement accounts that blooom supports.

It’s common for people to miss out on earnings, blooom will ensure you’re maximizing your retirement.

Cost: $95 annually for the Essentials plan, $120 annually for the Standard plan, and $250 annually for the Unlimited plan.

Betterment

Betterment is the perfect Robo-advisor to use if you want a hands-off investing platform that’s easy to use.

It uses a Robo-advisor, which uses an algorithm to manage your investment portfolio.

Cost: Annual fee of 0.25% for Betterment Digital, which doesn’t have a minimum balance requirement. If you’d like Betterment Premium, the percentage increases to 0.40%. The minimum balance requirement is $100,000.

Fundrise

You need to do your own due diligence to make sure you understand the risks and costs of an investment.

It also monitors your credit, and you’ll get a notification every time a lender pulls your credit.

It’s helpful when it comes to protecting your identity.

unbury.me

unbury.me is an online calculator that’s straightforward and doesn’t include anything besides the calculator.

You’ll add your loan information and select a method to pay it off, which you’d like to use.

It can be the Avalanche method, which tackles the highest interest rate loans first.

You can also choose the Snowball method, which pays off the lowest principal amounts first.
